My story
From the first SLR to a studio in Lugano.
I started for fun with an old SLR and a passion for light. Over time the fun became a craft: first portraits of friends, then the first weddings, events and work for local brands. Today I have a studio in Lugano and work on a few projects at a time, because I prefer the quality of the relationship to the quantity of shoots. Photo and video, always with the same eye: honest images, never loud, that stay beautiful even ten years from now.
How I work
Three things I never give up.
Natural light, first of all
I look for good light and work with it. I use flash only when truly needed, never to fill.
Real moments, not posed
I’d rather anticipate what is about to happen than stage it. The best images come on their own.
Care all the way to delivery
The shoot is half the job: the other half is the selection, the colour and the retouch, done calmly and consistently.
Gear
Tools, not the main characters.
Gear matters less than the eye, but it must be reliable. I work with two full-frame mirrorless bodies, fast prime lenses, studio lighting and a drone for aerial footage.
