Your first session
What to expect at your first visit
The first session lasts about 45 minutes and is dedicated to getting to know you, understanding your problem and matching you with the right therapist on the team. You don't need to be an athlete or already "fit": we start from where you are.
What to bring
Any doctor's referral, useful reports or X-rays, and comfortable clothing.
The assessment
We listen to your history, examine posture and movement and identify the cause of the pain.
Your therapist
We match you with the therapist best suited to your case and set together how many sessions are needed.
Reimbursement
With a medical referral, physiotherapy is reimbursed by LAMal; other therapies by complementary insurance. We explain it all.
Do I need a medical referral?
For physiotherapy reimbursed by basic insurance (LAMal) you need a medical referral. For manual therapy, massage therapy and physical therapies you can come by direct access, without a referral - reimbursement goes through complementary insurance. In any case, on the first call the centre's reception tells you exactly how to proceed.
